A leading research institute based in Cambridge have a brand new and exciting opening for a Senior Web developer with excellent Perl programming skills to join their existing research team where you will develop and enhance the web interfaces and web services for their popular scientific resource.
This will involve enhancing their state of art database in order for it to be able to display
next generation sequencing data.
You will also be involved in the development of new and existing frameworks that will allow the amalgamation of other external data sets.

Skills
The successful candidate will ideally have a Computer Science or Bioinformatics degree
and you will have extremely strong Perl web developer skills (OO Perl).
Experinece of the following is required for this position, UNIX, HTML, CSS, Javascript,
Oracle and MYSQL databases.
This role would ideally suit a strong Perl programmer who enjoys all of the above skills and applies them to handling large scale biological data sets and who possible may have experience in cancer genetic research.
